The Alaskan Cabin

It has full plumbing from late May to mid-September; in winter, the plumbed washrooms in the main lodge just steps away are available 24 hours a day.

The RAVEN CABIN
This is THE classic wilderness getaway--a cozy en suite log cabin in Alaska's mountain kingdom. The Raven Cabin is the perfect space for your Great North adventures or quiet getaway to rest and recharge—without the hassle of an expensive and weather-dependent air or water taxi. Access the best of the Last Frontier's wide open solitude on your schedule!
This cabin has a comfortable hand-crafted queen-size log bed, soft new linens, fully plumbed bathroom (late May to mid-September), and bird’s eye loft with double futon and gorgeous mountain views. The kitchen has a propane cook stove, mini-fridge, pots/pans, dishes, and cleaning supplies.
Surrounded by Wrangell-St. Elias National Park & Preserve lands, you’re just a few minutes' walk to scenic, secluded mountain lakes and hilltop vistas with exceptional wildlife viewing, birding, fishing, and recreational opportunities.

URSA MAJOR YURT
Ursa Major yurt, named for the Great Bear constellation overhead, is nestled within the breathtaking wilderness of the Wrangell Mountains, just steps from two scenic lakes. Its cozy interior offers premium comfort, with an inviting hand-crafted log queen bed, promising restful nights in tranquil Wrangell-St. Elias National Preserve. For added relaxation, there's a double futon sleeper and sitting area, ensuring comfortable accommodations for small groups or families.
No matter the season, a reliable and efficient wood-pellet heater keeps the yurt snug and warm, allowing you to relax in comfort while taking in Alaska's unique light through the large central dome. The full kitchen - with propane range, mini-fridge, pots/pans, dishes, and utensils- allows guests to prepare meals, but for those who prefer to savor the culinary delights of Alaska without lifting a finger, gourmet Alaska-style meals are available in the historic lodge just steps away (reservations required).

The Mountain Spruce Cabin
Once a school house for our children and now as a spacious, light-filled cabin, the Mountain Spruce has plenty of room to stretch out and relax before or after your wilderness adventure. The cabin has a hand-crafted spruce log bed, soft linens and pillows, full-size sleeper sofa, flat-screen TV & DVD player, well-maintained outhouse, and access to wash cabin with hot showers and flush toilets during the summer months (Memorial Day to Labor Day) or plumbed wash rooms in the main lodge in winter (mid-September to late May) just steps away. The well-equipped kitchen has all you need to prepare meals: a propane cook stove, mini-fridge, pots/pans, dishes, and cleaning supplies. This cabin is ideal for two to four people.
A few more steps takes you to two scenic, secluded mountain lakes with excellent wildlife viewing, fishing, or canoeing. Enjoy the warm hues of a mountain sunset around a crackling fire in our gathering area or ready your gear for an incredible ski or snowshoe adventure right out the front door!

The Fox’s Den
The Fox’s Den is a cozy retreat for a couple or three close friends who want to enjoy the wilderness in comfort. There is a queen log bed and full-size futon sleeper sofa with soft new linens and pillows along with a fully stocked kitchen that has a small range with oven, mini-fridge, pots/pans, utensils, dishes, and potable water in a pump bottle.
There is a flat-screen TV and DVD player (large DVD lending library in main lodge for guest use), clean outhouse, and access to a fully plumbed summer wash cabin from Memorial Day (late May) to Labor Day (early September). The wash cabin has two private shower-toilet-sink rooms with hot water and is steps away from the Fox’s Den. Firewood is available for guests to enjoy a crackling campfire in their own fire ring outside the cabin. Pack N’ Play portable cribs available upon request.

The Caribou Cabin
Surrounded by spruce trees and mountains, the Caribou Cabin has a comfortable hand-crafted log queen bed, spring futon sofa, new spacious outhouse, and access to fully-plumbed wash cabin during the summer months (late May to early September). The fully equipped kitchen has a gas range, mini-fridge, pots/pans, utensils, dishes, flat-screen TV/DVD player, dining set, and is comfortable for up to four guests. There is plenty of room to stretch out and relax before or after your next adventure. During summer months (May - Sept.) the wash cabin has two private shower-toilet-sink rooms with hot water and is steps away from the Caribou. Pet friendly, with prior approval, $50 non-refundable cleaning fee per stay.
The Lodge
The Lodge is tucked within Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve, North America’s biggest (yet little visited) national park and is part of one of the world’s largest internationally protected ecosystems as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Kluane National Park in Canada. Situated at the foot of the Mentasta Mountains surrounded by boreal forest, the lodge looks out on 16,237-foot Mount Sanford (sixth highest in the U.S. & third biggest volcano) and the Tanada Peaks.
The mountains help protect the lodge from weather extremes, in both summer and winter. The wide open skies over the lodge provide an excellent place to view the aurora (Northern Lights) from late August to early May.

The Wash House
The Wash House is a small, hand-hewn log cabin with two private washrooms, each with toilet, sink, and hot shower which are sanitized several times daily. It is located steps away from the cabins and is open 24 hours a day during summer months (late May to mid-September). During the off-season (mid-September to late May) guests may use the clean, plumbed washrooms in the main lodge.
